What a great time we had a Club Rush this week! Clubs will officially kick off next Tuesday and Wednesday, allowing students to get involved with various activities and organizations around the campus. Which one sounds the most fun to you?

Are you interested in being part of an award winning team? Make sure to mark your calendars to Wrestling Tryouts on September 8th & September 10th.

AVID classes crushed team building today! Students sharpened their communication skills while having a blast with these activities.

Rainy days do not stop us! Mr. Green's AP Art classes are stepping out to study contrast and lighting. Look at their great work on this dreary day!

TODAY! We will have our first Varsity Home Football game vs Maumelle.

The game will start at 7:00 pm. Gates open at 6:00 pm.

Sylvan Hills High School students are able to enter the game for free with a current student ID. If you do not have a current student ID, you will have to pay admission at the front gate.

Tonight we also celebrate our City of Sherwood, and we look forward to seeing our town officials in attendance.

The theme is Hawaiian night, so show up and show out! Go Bears!

La Tomatina is a massive, one-hour-long food fight held annually on the last Wednesday of August in Buñol, Spain, where thousands of participants pelt each other with overripe tomatoes. To celebrate and immerse, Ms. Martin's Spanish classes took part in a "tomato" fight and practiced their Spanish reading skills. Way to bring learning to life!

Congratulations to Sylvan Hills High School Senior Addison Thomas who recently was selected as the 1st place winner of the 2025 Clinton Foundation Ideas Matter Scholarship Essay Contest! She is the recipient of a $5000 scholarship! Addison's essay was selected from more than 60 essays submitted by high school students across the state on the topic of ways for young Arkansans to improve civic health and inspire civic participation in their communities.

What a great first week! Students played a school-wide game of Rock, Paper, Scissors this week. Congratulations to the winners for each grade; they scored a $20 gift certificate to our Bear Necessities store.
