Despite the wet weather and muddy trails, the Sylvan Hills Cross Country team had an amazing performance at the Conference Meet in Vilonia this week — with 8 runners setting new personal records!
Join us in congratulating these dedicated student-athletes for their hard work and determination! 💙🐻

Earlier this month, hundreds of students from across the region competed for a spot in the All-Region Orchestra — and one of our very own Bears earned a chair! 🙌
Congratulations to our talented Hailey Middaugh — your Sylvan Hills family is so proud of you! 💙🐻

Be on the lookout today — SHHS students are out in the community lending a hand, helping neighbors, and giving back! 🙌
From cleaning local parks and caring for flower beds to making blankets for the homeless, our Bears are making a real difference. 🌿💪
These service projects not only help students earn their required 75 volunteer hours but also build socially responsible, community-minded leaders. 💙

They grabbed their umbrellas and rain boots to tour UCA and Hendrix College, getting an inside look at campus life, academics, and all the opportunities ahead.
Way to stay curious and committed, Bears! 🐻🎓

Don’t forget to bring $1 to help end polio worldwide!
During both lunches, the SHHS Interact Club will be collecting donations for the Purple Pinkie Project in partnership with the Rotary Club of Sherwood for World Polio Day.
For every 60¢ donated, a child is immunized against polio. When you give $1 or more, we’ll paint your pinkie purple to show your support in the fight to end polio!
Let’s see how many purple pinkies we can get at SHHS! 💅

👨⚖️ Nearly 100 students from every PCSSD high school took an oath this morning to serve in Teen Court! 👩⚖️
⚖️ Teen Court empowers students to act as judges, jurors, and advocates, using restorative justice to help their peers learn from mistakes and make better choices.
🏫 PCSSD is proud to be the only district in Arkansas with a school-based Teen Court model, where students earn class credit while gaining real-world experience in justice and leadership.
📊 Studies show that teens who participate in Teen Court are less likely to reoffend compared to those in the traditional court system—proof that student leadership makes a difference! #PCSSDproud #TeenCourt #ServeAll
Don’t forget to show your AVID pride by rocking your college and career shirts tomorrow! At Daisy Bates Elementary, Tigers took AVID to the next level with their annual Rock Your School Week. 🐯

This event and AVID are all about helping our scholars DREAM BIG, set goals, and see their future selves in action. A huge shoutout to our teachers for making learning an adventure every single day! 📚

Ms. Martin and Ms. Siracuse, two of our language teachers, recently joined their classes to create beautiful cultural crafts in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month. Students had a wonderful time learning and expressing creativity through traditional projects such as Ojos de Dios, marigolds, máscaras, and worry dolls. Check out some of their amazing creations!
