To celebrate School Board Appreciation Month, we are highlighting each board member's superpower. First up, Karyn Maynard of Zone 4. Karyn's super power is hyper communication! She uses her skills to convey ideas, understand others and solve problems. #pcssdproud #serveall
We are so impressed with the candle projects by our craft and pottery students. This two month project started with making pinch pots from clay then adding the underglaze and finishing with "sgraffito" carving technique to add designs to the candles. The longest part of the process was firing each pot in the kiln, applying clear glaze and refiring. Finally, students assembled the candle wick, wax and added a scent. Voìla! Their very own candles!
