SYLVAN HILLS HIGH Advanced Placement students took their exams at the end of last school year and the results are in. SHHS students scored above the state average on 8 of the AP exams including English, Spanish, Calculus, Biology, Computer Science, and Art.
Special recognition for the following courses:
•2-D Art & Design: 92% scored 3 or higher (that's 15% above the state average of 77%)
English Literature & Composition: 71% scored 3 or higher (that's 10% above the state average of 61%)
Students who receive a score of 3, 4, or 5 will receive college credit for that course.


PCSSD Teacher of the Year, Mr. Bokari Williams, is offering some tips to help students avoid the summer slide.
"Exercise, play, workout, run, ride a bike, skateboard, scooter, jump rope for 60 minutes a day."
