Looking ahead, temperatures will not get above freezing for the next 24 hours or more. Due to the expected continued precipitation, it is likely that roads will have icy patches for awhile. Therefore, PCSSD schools and offices will not be open tomorrow (Wednesday, February 19).

Ms. Tori-Beth Poland, a SHHS Alum and current Miss Diamond Lakes, came and spoke to Mr. Johnson's AP Chemistry class about her summer internship with a research project at Hendrix College as well as her current internship with a research project at UAMS. Ms. Poland emphasized the importance of taking classes in High School, like AP, that help prepare you for college success.



February is National Children's Dental Health Month. Take time to encourage sweet and healthy smiles by instilling healthy habits like brushing twice a day and limiting sugary beverages. #pcssdproud #serveall

Good afternoon! Due to the anticipated inclement weather entering central Arkansas tomorrow, PCSSD will dismiss early on Tuesday. Elementary schools will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. and secondary schools will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. District offices will also close at 12:30 p.m. There will not be any after school activities, including aftercare. Sack lunches will be provided for those who need lunch. PCSSD will continue to monitor the weather and will make adjustments if needed. Thank you.
