Wow! Before time gets away from us, we have to celebrate our Bears of the Month for last month. Students and teachers vote to recognize those on campus who exhibit great GRRRR qualities. Go, Bears!

It's Boss's Day! Thanks to all the outstanding leaders across PCSSD! Did you know Boss’s Day was initiated by a State Farm Insurance employee in Illinois in 1958? October 16 was chosen to coincide with her father’s birthday, who was also her boss.

Student Choice is an important part of the educational atmosphere, even when it comes to student nutrition! Chef King prepared grilled chicken sandwiches with roasted red pepper mayo and Caribbean BBQ pulled pork sandwiches for the students to sample. Students then voted on which one they'd prefer to see added to their cafeteria menu. It was close, but the Caribbean BBQ won with 55% of the vote!

Congratulations to all our Sylvan Hills High Choir students who auditioned for the ArkCDA Region 2 All-Region Choir on Saturday (Oct. 12)! We had:
🎵2 students selected as alternates
🎵20 students selected to the All-Region Choir

We are so very proud of all of our students who took the opportunity to try their best to make the choir. And a huge congratulations to our students who made All-Region! Everyone has worked so hard to prepare, and we are super proud of the progress that our students are making.
