This weekend, our Bears wrapped up an amazing season at Oaklawn in Hot Springs! 💙🐻
The boys team, led by Antonio Reed, finished 21st overall, and the girls team, led by Mattison Kohler, earned a top-50 finish! 🙌 Several runners also set new personal records — what an incredible way to finish the season!
Way to represent that Hillside Pride! 💪

This week, we are recognizing AVID scholars who are stepping beyond the classroom and onto real university campuses — experiencing college life firsthand.
These visits give our students a glimpse of what their futures can look like. They can learn about majors, scholarships, and campus traditions, and leave inspired to keep working toward their goals.

This fall, a group of Sylvan Hills High School students joined Family & Consumer Sciences teacher Nicole Manwaring at the Educators Rising Fall Leadership Conference. As part of the event, students participated in a special service project — writing heartfelt messages in cards for veterans at the VA hospital.

Our AVID juniors have been out visiting campuses and discovering their next steps. Recently, this great group toured Harding University, which offers over 110 undergraduate majors, 40+ graduate and professional programs, and 14 pre-professional tracks.
