MAUMELLE, Ark. -- Two Maumelle High School students have advanced as finalists in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program.
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) has announced Clayton Boothe and Toby Reid among the top one-percent of U.S. high school graduating seniors.
These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,600 National Merit Scholarships. To be considered for a Merit Scholarship® award, semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the finalist level of the competition. Over 90-percent of the semifinalists are expected to attain finalist standing, and more than half of the finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar® title.
Congratulations Clayton and Toby! This is a great achievement! Maumelle High School staff and faculty are proud of you both!
